TreeCheck is independent and unofficial: confirm any answer that matters with CDFA.

  1. TreeCheck is an independent, unofficial service. It is not the California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) and does not speak for it.
  2. Answers are approximate and come from public data that can change any day. They are not survey-grade and not an official determination.
  3. Before you move plants, make a business decision, or rely on an answer near the line, confirm with CDFA: 1-800-491-1899.
  4. Nurseries, growers, haulers and sellers must use CDFA compliance channels, not this site.
  5. The service is provided “as is”, without warranty of any kind. To the extent the law allows, TreeCheck is not liable for losses from using it.
  6. Don't use the site in an automated way to run many lookups; there is a rate limit.
  7. We may change these terms; the date of the current version is below.
